Sapphira

Deeds, not words.

CHARACTERISTICS

━━━┛ ✠ ┗━━━

In emotion, weakness.

━━━┓ ✠ ┏━━━

A terribly inexpressive individual, any iota of emotion gleams only through minor idiosyncrasies. This Hyur has the calloused hands of a hard-working individual, and yet is characterized by the sophisticated mannerisms and colloquialisms of someone from wealth.

━━━┛ ✠ ┗━━━

From tolerance, wisdom.

━━━┓ ✠ ┏━━━

Patience and forbearance armor the woman. Words, weightless and opinions, pointless; composure is rarely lacking in the face of adversity and ill-intent.

━━━┛ ✠ ┗━━━

Through vigilance, triumph.

━━━┓ ✠ ┏━━━

Bags underneath her eyes demonstrate unrest. Tokens of immense sentimental value are always with her: a stone kept close to her person and a blue ribbon often fashioned over her head. The intuitively observant may sense the determination and wanderlust lying just beneath the surface of her mask.

━━━┛ ✠ ┗━━━

By truth, salvation.

The Cold Heir

━━━┓ ✠ ┏━━━

Sapphira Eiry Collbrande: the eldest child of three to the late widower Reginald Collbrande. It is said that Reginald was already an estranged man upon his retirement from the Dragonsong war where he lost his brother and earned his nobility, and such qualities only worsened following the loss of his beloved wife Eiry. However, if there was anyone to match his cold and distant personality, it was the heir he raised. The Lady that never smiles, as some would say. Sapphira was rarely ever seen away from her abode unless it was to conduct business. Reliable in the eyes of her benefactors and ruthless to rivals of the family's trade, gossip would spread throughout the Pillars that the woman felt nothing. The perfect, heartless heir to succeed Reginald's legacy. In adulthood, Sapphira took over the family's happenings in all but title. Reginald remained the patriarch to all of the Collbrande family's properties, but his daughter was responsible for conducting all manner of business and overseeing the allocation of her family's wealth.

Lady of Rats

━━━┓ ✠ ┏━━━

Sapphira Collbrande's stars changed with the death of her father. A house servant discovered Sapphira inside of the Reginald Collbrande's quarters, holding his bloodied corpse with the murder weapon in hand. Sapphira claimed to have seen the true culprit fleeing, but the circumstances were all too incriminating. Intent on not being incarcerated for the death of her father, Sapphira fled the scene and disappeared from the eyes of Ishgard. The woman's name has since been dragged through the mud, referred to as the Lady of Rats amongst those in the Pillars, while her brother Artemis struggles to keep the family's properties intact. An irresponsible, gambling reveler, it is none too surprising to anyone that the man was not prepared to take on the role as head of the house in Sapphira's absence.
